Membership in the Nevis Division of the Chamber continues to rise steadily. At present, the membership totals 56. Of these companies 22 are entities with headquarters in St. Kitts. Throughout the year the Division maintained a relatively high profile in the local community through a packed calendar of events that included luncheons, dinners, evening meetings, and an annual meetings.

Much of the Division’s prominence in the past year can be attributed to the vibrant Charming Charlestown has been collaborative work on the upgrade of the public market, and the execution of a business survey of downtown Charlestown. The division was able to solicit funding for the latter from the British High Commission in Antigua. Charming Charlestown has now embarked upon a project with the Nevis Island administration to (a) upgrade the roof of the public market; and (b) get vendors off the streets with the passage and implementation of necessary legislation to control informal trading.
