Since its incorporation over 58 years ago, the St. Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce has been mandated to achieve the following objectives:

• Promoting measures designed to benefit and protect all of its members, and the general trade and industry of St. Kitts and Nevis.

• Promoting, supporting and opposing legislative and other measures affecting the above interests.
  
  
• Promoting business and community growth and development.
  
  
• Undertaking by arbitration the settlement of disputes arising out of trade, commerce or manufacturing in the productive sectors of the economy.
  
  
• Facilitating conflict resolution between government, political interests, and the private sector in an effort to safeguard a health business environment for trade, commerce and manufacturing.
  
  
• Doing all such other lawful activity as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.  Provided that the Association does not support with its funds any object, or endeavour to impose on, or procure the observance of its members, any regulation, restriction or condition, which would make it a trade union.
